Several members of the Investors Community Bank management team recently attended Graduate School of Banking (GSB) programs through the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Michael Hostak, VP-Information Security Officer, was awarded a certificate of completion from the Bank Technology Security School. This program helps to expand knowledge of the banking industry and technology security practices. The school provides an opportunity for students to learn from respected industry experts about today's key issues in cybersecurity and data protection.

Matthew Fehrmann, VP-Technology Solutions, was awarded a certificate of completion from the Bank Technology Management School. The school provides the foundation for new or veteran technology professionals to tie together important issues in technology with a bottom-line understanding of the business of banking.

Designed specifically for financial services technology professionals, these two programs help students to expand their knowledge of the banking industry and technology management, improve technology processes and establish a network of colleagues with whom to interact and exchange ideas. 

Eight members of the management team attended the inaugural Digital Banking School. GSB’s Digital Banking School is the first school of its kind and is focused exclusively on helping community banks devote attention, staffing and financial resources to innovation, digital product mix, online customer engagement, technological advances, vendor partnerships and more.

Designed specifically to educate cross-functional teams, this school brought together experts in innovation and FinTech with practicing digital bankers to provide a collaborative, engaging experience around the key elements of a successful digital bank. Topics included digital banking strategy, market analysis, integrating digital with brick and mortar, meeting customer needs, developing the right team, choosing appropriate technology and more. 

Those who participated in the program include Anne Denissen, VP-Treasury Management; Kristina Dewitt, VP-Consumer and Mortgage Banking; Matt Fehrmann, VP-Technology Solutions; Cari Larsen, VP-Controller; Matt Lemke, SVP-Banking Services; Renee Petersen, VP-Electronic Banking; Laura Wiegert, SVP-Marketing and Cyrene Wilke, SVP-Operations and Technology.
